Pattern Instructions:

The pattern is worked in rounds. You will repeat stitches in parenthesis until the end of the row unless stated otherwise. Stuff as you go and stuff firmly: if stuffing starts to show then remove some. There are lots of how to videos on the internet on how to do the Magic Ring, just use what works best for you. (Or you can ch 2, then work the proper amount of sc in the 2nd chain from the hook.) Place a stitch marker at the end of each round to mark your spot or use a scrap piece of yarn The head and body are all in one piece, less pieces to sew together. Size: approximately 5 %" tall w/o his hair (depending on the individual, hook used and yarn used)

F/O, with tail sew hole closed, knot off and hide tail inside body

Hair: with black

Cut an 8" piece of yarn; separate it into four thin strands. Tie all strands together in an overhand knot 1" from end. With a long needle pull long end through top center of head down through the body just until the knot, "clicks" (disappears) into the top of the head. Cut off excess of the tail and hide. Trim hair to desired length. If hair is too floppy you can use a little bit of craft glue and stiffen up the hair between your fingertips.

Arms (make 2): with black:

Chain 12 - starting in the second chain from hook - slst 3 ch, (ch3, slst 2, then slst back into main ch) repeat (-), until you have 3 fingers, slst 8 down main ch. F/O - leave an 8-10" tail for sewing to body in desired position.

Feet (make 2): with white

Mouth (upper lip and lower lip): with white

Upper - ch 9 - starting in 2nd ch from hook - sc, hdc, 4 dc, hdc, sc, slst in same st as last sc. continue to lower lip. Lower - ch 13 slst into opposite corner of upper lip. f/o, leave a long tail for sewing lips to face. Upper lip goes between rounds 31-32, tack lower lip into semi rounded "V" shape below upper lip. (see picture at beginning) Inside of the mouth - satin stitch with turquoise to fill in. Tooth - with a very small piece of felt cut into the shape of teeth "/ " like this but round your corners, then glue to upper mouth under the upper lip. Nose: with orange

F/O, leave an 8-1o" tail for sewing nose to face.
Center the nose above the upper lip, it will be touching lip

Glue googly eyes above and on each side of the nose. You can use either a strong craft glue or superglue.

Buttons (make 3): with black

6sc in MR, slst closed. F/O, leave about a 6-8" tail for sewing to body. 2 buttons on bottom ball, 1 button on middle ball You have now completed your mini Olaf. I hope you enjoyed this pattern.
