Boho Flower Poncho By Linda Bond Thomas

Materials: 5 skeins of Noro Taiyo yarn Yarn (or 1100 yds of worsted weight yarn) Crochet Hook size H-8 Guage: 3 stitches to the inch. Size: One size fits most This poncho is crocheted as a two rectangles then joined.
Hawaiian Flower Square ( make 3)
Round1: CH 8, SL through first CH. Round 2: CH 1, 12 SC in CH space, SL into first SC. Round 3: CH 3, \*DC in next stitch, CH 1\* repeat \*\*until end. SL in CH 2 of turning chain. (13 CH spaces). Round 4: SC in first CH space, CH 9, \*SC in next CH space, CH 3, SC in next CH space, CH 3, SC in next CH space, CH9\*. Repeat until end. Ending with SL in first SC. (4 petals) Round 5: \*4 DC in CH space (petal),CH 2, 4 DC in CH space, SC in next CH space, CH 5, SC in next CH space\*. Repeat until end. Round 6: CH 2, 2 DC in CH space, \*CH 8, DC in point of petal (2 CH space), CH 3, DC in same CH space, CH 8,3 DC in 5 chain space\* Joining Flower Squares (Border) Join the 3 granny squares with SC's. Break yarn between each square.
Rectangle1
Row 1: Pick up stitches on top of squares with \*3 SC in CH 3 space, 8 SC in CH 8 space, 3 SC in Next 3 DC's, 8 SC in CH 8 space, 3 SC in CH 3 space\* repeat 2 more times to end. Row 2: Ch 2, DC in each stitch to end. Row 3: Repeat Row 2 until rectangle is 22" long (including flower strip). Rectangle 2 Row 1: CH 67 (about 22 ") Row 2: CH 2, DC in each CH to end. Row 3: Repeat Row 2 until rectangle is about 59 inches in length. Join Side of Rectangle 2 (left end) to bottom of granny square row with SC's. Join Rectangle 1 to side of Rectangle 2 (right end) with SC's. Finish by weaving in ends.
