Nell
$\circledcirc$ 2009JannekeMaat Nell is an elegant and stretchy anklet I designed for my mother in law (Nel). Worked over just 2 rounds, the lacy ribbing pattern it is very simple and easy to memorize, yet fun to knit. The pattern works best with a (hand dyed) yarn with a litle bit of contrast in colors like a solid, semi-solid, muted-multi or gradient colorway.

Requirements
A skein of sock yarn (50 - 70 grams will suffice) Zitron Trekking Pro Natura is used for the socks on the pictures. circular needle 80 cm 2,5 mm stitch markers if preferred Gauge 32 stitches and 40 rows in stockinette, knitted in the round on $10\;\mathsf{c m}_{}$ ,with needle size $2.5\;\mathsf{m m}$ Size Nell is designed for size EU 36/40, Woman US (6-9). It is knitted over 60 stitches on a circular needle using magic loop. The lace stitches combined with a twisted rib make the sock very stretchy. If necessary the pattern can easily be adjusted for larger sizes by adding extra columns of ktbl and p at the beginning and ending of a needle. Keep in mind to center the lace parts of the pattern.
