Video tutorial for coil (sometimes called bullion stitch) stitch (again, I didn't create this video): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWCTA8v_zko Instructions for coil stitch: yo, go around your starting dc, pull up a loop, yo, go around dc again, pull up a loop, yo, go around dc again pull up a loop (you should do this a total of 4 times), insert hook in next st, yo, pull hook through all loops on hook, insert hook in next st, draw up a loop, ch 2, pull hook through loop. You'll start your next coil on the ch 2. Round 1: Starting with a magic ring, 16 dc in ring. Sl st to the first dc. Pull the tail of the ring to tighten ring. (Alternate method: Ch 2, 16 dc in the second ch from hook. Sl st to the first dc.) 12: Ch 2, dc in joining st then 2 dc in remaining sts around. Sl st to the first d Round 3: Ch 2, 2 dc in the NEXT st. \* 1 dc in the next st, 2 dc in the next st \*. Repeat from \* to \* around. Sl st to the first dc. Round 4: Ch 2, dc in the NEXT st, 2 dc in the next st. \* 1 dc in the next 2 sts, 2 dc in the next st \*. Repeat from \* to \* around. Sl st to the first dc. Round 5: Ch 2, dc in the 2 sts, 2 dc in the next st. \* 1 dc in the next 3 sts, 2 dc in the next st \* . Repeat from \* to \* around. Sl st to the first dc. Round 6: Ch 2. DC in the same st. Work your first coil st around this dc. Coil stitch around. When you get to the final coil stitch do not complete it. After pulling through all loops, sl st to the top of the first coil. Round 7: Ch 1, hdc in same st, 2 hdc in top of next coil stitch, \* hdc in next space between coil stitches, 2 hdc in top of next coil stitch. \* Repeat from \* to \* around. Round 8: Repeat round 6. Round 9: HDC in each st around. Round 10: Repeat round 6. Round 11: Repeat round 9. Round 12: Ch 1, hdc around. Sl st to first hdc. Round 13 - 23: SC in each st around.
