Materials: -Worsted weight yarn- I used red heart super saver -Size 5.00 H hook -Tapestry needle to sew ears to hat -Stitch marker NOTES- the chain 1 at the beginning of each row does not count as a HDC. Vhen making your first HDC for each round, HDC in same stich as Abbreviations: CH - Chain SS - Slip Stitch ST - Stitch DC - Double Crochet SC - Single Crochet
PATTERN FOR HAT
Round 1: make a magic ring CH 1, HDC 8 times into the second chain from the hook. SL ST into the first stitch (8 stitches) Round 2: CH 1, work 2 HDC into each stitch around (16 stitches) Round 3: CH 1, 1 HDC in next stitch, 2 HDC in next stitch\* repeat until end (24 stitches) Round 4: CH 1, 1 HDC in next 2 stitches, 2 HDC in next stitch\* repeat until end (32 stitches) Round 5: CH 1, 1 HDC in next 3 stitches, 2 HDC in next stitch\* repeat until end (40 stitches) Round 6: CH 1, 1 HDC in each stitch around (40 stitches) Round 7-11: CH 1, 1 HDC in each stitch around (40 stitches) Round 12: CH 1, 1 SC in each stitch around and finish off (40 stitches) EARS: NOTES- each round is worked continuously. Do NOT slip stitch at the beginning of each round!
