Details and Assembly
Taking your felt, cut a star shape to the size of the open base of your starfish leaving a small seam allowance. Using Main Color A, tie French Knots all over one side of the felt base. These are the starfish's suction cups! Using Contrast Color B, sew the felt base to the underside of the starish top. Be sure to hide your starting knot (but not your French Knots!) on the wrong side of the starfish, so that it is inside. Use a whip stitch to attach the felt to the starfish. Leave a l inch gap, lightly stuff the starish then complete sewing together. To finish, secure the thread carefully to the underside of the starish then weave the end through the crochet stitches to hide and cut thread close to the body. Optional: If you would like a hanger to display your starfish, take a length of Main Color A, thread it through one of the starfish points and knot ends together. You're all done! Find a nice place to display your starfish and enjoy!
