Pattern Notes:
Throughout the main hat body part of pattern the chains do count as the first stitch. The last stitch of each round should be placed in the chain from the previous row.

When doing the purple edging the chains DO NOT count as a stitch. The first stitch should be placed in the same stitch as the chain.
Pattern:
Ch 37+3 1. DC in the 4th ch from the hook & in each remaining st. Ch 3, turn. bresech3, rorn. Mdke sure you dre putm 3-13. Repeat row 2. 14. Fold the rectangle in half (short sides together) and slip stitch together. Fasten off leaving long tail. Weave in your tail & then turn the hat inside out so that the seam is on the inside. Edging: You will now be working in the round & the chains do not count as stitches. 1. Attach the purple yarn in one corner of the hat & ch 1. SC along the edge of the hat, placing 3 stitches in the corners. Join to first SC. 2. Ch 1. SC across. Join to first SC. Fasten off & weave in ends. Use orange and white yarns to attach as hair. I attached some in the front to create the look of bangs & some along the bottom edge. I cut the strands to be about 3-4 feet long. But you can do it whichever length you would like. To attach the hair I fold each piece of yarn in half, pull through a sc stitch and knot it. I've attached some pictures below to help demonstrate.

These pictures show how I insert the hook and pull the yarn through the stitch to make a strand of hair. Pull the 2 strands of yarn through the loop to knot.

This how it will look after it has been attached. After I've attached the hair I pull it together on each side & braid it. I use scrap yarn to tie it together at the bottom & used scrap magenta yarn to make bows. For the bangs I used scrap orange yarn to make knots along the front to keep the bangs close to the hat. Please share your finished pictures as I'd love to see them & feel free to message me here on Ravelry or email me with any questions and I will be more than happy to help you as much as I can. \*\*This patter is an original design of Danielle LaChanee/Giny Hope Crochet and is copyright protected.
