Notes About Felting
Put item(s) to be felted in a pillowcase to keep fuzzies from clogging your machine - close the pillowcase with a stout rubber band. Turn an item inside out at the start of felting. After 5 minutes, check the felting process and turn things right-side out. Check often and reshape - pulling apart any fibers you don't want felting together. Shaping the item to dry is most important! Stuff &/or place over a mold (for larger pouches, I use a book wrapped in a plastic bag), pin-block fat pieces and check once in a while to see whether your felteds are holding the shape you want.

Smooth Stripes Felted Pouch
1. sc 39 across, 3sc in end ch, continue around opposite side, sc 38, 2sc in beginning ch (same ch as beginning sc) (84) 2. \*[2sc] in first st, (sc 38, [2sc], sc1, [2sc]\*. Repeat \* - \* , end with sc 1 (88) 3. BLO hdc around SIDES: Begin stripes Color B 4. BLO slst around 5. BLO hdc around 6 - 7. Both loops sc around Color C 8. BLO slst around 9. BLO sc around 10 - 11. Both loops sc around Color D: 12 - 15 = Repeat 4 - 7 Color E: 16 - 19 = Repeat 8 - 11 Color F: 20. BLO slst around 23. \*sc 6, sc2tog\*, repeat around TOP EDGE With Color A 24. FLO slst in next st, ch3 and FLdc in same st as join, continue FLDC around, slst last dc to 1st dc. EO with long tail for sewing. Fold dc round in half toward inside of pouch.
