HAT DIRECTIONS:
Round 1: Color A: use magic ring method and ch3 in loop (counts as 1st dc), 9 dc into ring. Join with sl st to top of initial ch3. (10 dc) Round 2: Color B: Ch3, dc in same st. 2 dc in each st around. Join with sl st to first ch3. (20 dc) Round 3: Color C: Ch3, dc in same st. \*(dc, 2 dc in next st), repeat from \* around, dc in last st. Join with sl st to first ch3. (30 dc) Round 4: Color D: Ch3, dc in same st. \*(dc, dc, 2dc in next), repeat from \* around, dc in last 2 st. Join with sl st to first ch3. (40 dc) Round 5: Color A: Ch3, dc in same st. dc in each st around. Join with sl st to first ch3. (41 dc) Round 6: Color B: Ch3, dc in same st. dc in each st around. Join with sl st to first ch3. HEAD:
With Red (Color E) and I hook: magic loop, 8 sc in loop. (8sc) Round 2: 2 sc in each st around. (16 sc) Round 3: \*(sc, 2sc) in each st around. (24sc) Finish Off leaving long tail to sew on to hat.
EYES (Make 2):
With Yellow (Color F), and G hook: magic loop, 7 sc in loop. Join to 1st sc and pull tight. With Dark Green (Color D), magic loop, sc 4 in loop tightly, join to 1st sc and pull tight. Sew small dark green eye center on to the yellow outer circle. Sew eye pieces to red face.
Antennae (Make 2):
With Lavender yarn (Color G), sc 7, then sc 3x in 2nd from hook. Sl st in remaining chains. Leave tail to sew to hat.
NOSE:
Sew tiny black button to face OR make a French knot and add to face.
