Sinonta Cowl pattern by Valeria Kerkka
Sironta is designed to showcase a handdyed or handspun yarn. It combines a simple slip stitch pattern to a traditional chevron stitch. The main colour is a semi-solid colourway that sets a calm background to the colourful slipped stitches. Finished size: 130cm x 25 cm

Tips
- You can easily alter the height of the stripes to your liking. Always start and end a stripe with rnd 1. (Applies for both Chevron and Slipped Stitch stripes.) - This pattern is great for using up small amounts of handspun or leftovers. If you are really short on your CC yardage, use your MC for everything but the rnd 1 of Slipped Stitch stripe. This way you half the yardage of cc. Just remember that you'll need more yardage for your Mc. - The pattern repeat is 15 stitches. You can always knit more or less repeats if you want the cowl longer or shorter. As written, you get a cowl that you can wrap twice around your neck. -l found it helpful to slip in a stitch marker every 30 stitches as I was casting on. This way I don't have to re-count quite as much. - This pattern does not specify cast on and bind off methods as most methods will work. I would recommend steering away from methods that claim to be extra stretchy, because those can cause flaring on the edges.
