Purse Pattern
Pattern is worked in continuous rounds. Do NOT turn work at the end of a round. With larger hook, ch 50. Round 1 Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 47 ch, 3 sc in last ch, working on opp side of foundation ch, sc in ea ch to last, 2 sc in last ch, join with sl st in first sc. - 100sC. Round 2 Ch 2 (counts as first hdc), hdc in each st around. Join with sl st in 2nd ch of beg ch 2. - 100 hdc. Round 3 Ch 3 (counts as first hdc + ch 1). Sk next hdc, \*hdc, sk next hdc, ch 1 \*; repeat from \* to \* to end of round. Join with a sl st in 2nd ch of beg ch 3. - 50 hdc, 50 ch 1 spaces. Round 4 Ch 2 (does NOT count as a stitch). \*Puff st over ch 1, sk next hdc, ch 1\*; repeat from \* to \* to end of round. Join with a sl st in top of first puff st. - 50 puff st, 50 ch 1. Round 5 Repeat round 3. Round 6 to 17 Repeat rounds 2 through 5 three (3) more times. Round 18 Repeat round 2. Round 19 to 24 Change to smaller hook, ch 1, sc in same ch as join and in each st around. Join with sl st in beg ch 1. - 100 sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
