Blueberry Scowl
Scarf + cowl = scowl. Designed by Liz Abinante · feministy.com

I really like infinity cowls, and I also love unnecessarily long scarves. Who says you can't have both? Knit flat, this scarf features optional buttons, allowing it to be wrapped up and worn as a cowl. This clever little project incorporates textured motifs to bring out the tonal colors in semi-solid yarns without obscuring them. Add some versatility to your wardrobe with the multi-purpose project! Version 3. Updated on November 28, 2013 Materials and Information Information The 1x1 ribbing and the 2x2 ribbing will want to block out at different widths. Block your scowl according to the 1 x1 ribbing: this will leave your 2x2 ribbed edge a little relaxed.

Bind Off
Bind off using your preferred method. Something a little snug is ok here because the 2x2 ribbing will be restricted to the width of the 1x1 ribbing. Choose which side of the scowl you want the button holes to be on before proceeding to the next section.
Buttonband
With WS facing, pick up and knit each slipped stitch along the edge you have selected for the button band. Work in garter stitch (k all sts, every row) for 3"/7.6cm. Bind off.
Buttonholes
oick up and knit each slipped stitch along the edge of the other side of your scov I had 26 sts on the sample version. If you have more or less, you can add or remove the extra stitches from the beginning and end of the rows.
