Jingle Bell Stocking
Materials: Red HeartTM Holiday yarn, 1 skein each of Red, Green and White Crochet hooks, size J & size K (substitute larger hooks if you want a larger stocking) 12 medium jingle bells Small crochet hook or bent paper clip Abbreviations: $\mathrm{Ch}=$ chain S1 st $=$ slip stitch Dc $=$ doublecrochet $\mathbf{PC=}$ popcorn

Directions: All rounds are worked with right side facing. With Green, ch 5; sl st in $5^{\mathrm{th}}$ ch from hook to form ring. Rnd 1: Ch 3, work 15 dc in ring, sl st in top of ch-3. Fasten yarn. Rnd 2: Attach White. Ch 3, in next st work a 5-dc PC, dc in next st, \* PC in next st, dc in next st. Repeat frm \* around, sl st in top of starting ch-3. Fasten yarn. You should have 8 popcorns. Rnd 3: Attach Red in top of any PC. Ch 3, in same space work (dc, ch 2, 2 dc), \* dc in next st, dc in top of next PC, dc in next st, work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in top of next PC; repeat from \* around, ending with sl st in top of starting ch-3. Rnd 4 -5: Ch 3, dc in next st, \* in next space work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc), dc in next st and each st acro, rpeat from \* , ending with sl st in top of starting ch-3. Weave in yarn ends and sew blocks together, having 2 sections as pictured in Fig.1 & 2.

Sew both sections together, right sides facing.
Cuff:
Leaving stocking turned wrong side out, attach White yarn to center back of stocking top. Rnd1: Ch12, si sae pa, sciachd and pae aroudtpfstoking; ed with $1^{\mathrm{st}}$ sc, folding ch12 loop downwards intostocking. Rnd 2: Ch 3 (do not turn), $^*\,\,2$ dc in next st, dc in next 3 sts, repeat from \* around, end with sl st in top of beginning ch-3. Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same space, \* skip next st, work (2 dc, ch2, 2 dc) in next st, skip next st, sc in next st; repeat from \* around, end with sl st in beginning sc. (12 shells) Rnd 4: Ch3,\* work (2dc, ch2,2 de) in next shellch-2 space, dc in next sc, repeat from \* around, end with sl st in top of beginning ch-3. (12 shells) Rnd 5: Ch 3, \* (2 dc, ch 1) in next shell ch-2 space, retain loop on hook. With small hook or bent paper clip, draw up a loop of yarn through metal loop on top of jingle bell. Insert K hook into the yarn loop just formed and pullit through the loop already on hook; ch 1, 2 dc in same shellch-2 space, skip the last 2 dcs of shell, dc in next dc. Repeat from \* around, end sl st in top of beginning ch-3. Fasten yarn. Turn stocking right sie ut. Fold cuff towards you, making sure that it is folded between th sc and dc rouds, keeping ch-12 loop folded down into stocking so that it does not get caught in finishing round.. Finish top of cuff: Attach White yarn to center back between ds, ch 1, sc in same space and in each space between dcs around. Fasten yarn. Weave in ends. For a different look: Assemble stocking by placing wrong sides together and join by working scs around.
