25g skein Brown double knit yarn Small amount of White Double knit yarn G hook/4mm Stitch marker Yarn needle White ribbon 11ins in length

Making Right Leg, Body and Head
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, and in each ch across (3 st) ch 1, turn Row 2 - 6: sc in each st across (3 st) at the end of row 6 do not f/o we are going to join the two legs together - with your yarn still attached to the right leg insert your hook through the first st of the left leg sc across to the end of row - you should now have (6 st) at the end of row 6 ch 1, turn, do not f/o as we are now going to make the body Row 7 - 11: sc in each st across, ch 1, turn after each row do not f/o as we are now going to make the head Row 12: sl st into 1st st, sc into next 4 st, (4 st) ch 1, turn Row 13: 2 sc inc into 1st st, sc into next 2 st, 2 sc into last st, (6 st) ch 1, turn Row 14: sc into each st across (6 st) ch 1, turn Row 15: 2 sc inc in 1st st, sc in next 4 st, 2 sc in last st, (8 st) ch 1, turn Row 16: sc 2 tog, sc next 4 st, sc 2 tog, (6 st) ch 1, turn Row 17: sc in each st across (6 st) ch 1, turn Row 18: sc 2 tog, sc next 2 st, sc 2 tog (4 st) ch 1, turn Row 19: sc 2 tog (twice) (2 st) f/o
Making Arms (make 2) (using brown yarn)
Row 1: insert your hook through row 11 of the gingerbread man body on the left side, ch 1, sc in same st, sc next 2 st, (3 st) ch 1, turn Row 2 - 5: sc in each st across (3 st) ch 1, turn after each row then f/o after row 5 - now you need to do the same on the opposite side of the gingerbread man to make the right arm
Now you need to make another gingerbread man by repeating the previous steps
Assembly the Gingerbread Man Hold the 2 pieces of gingerbread man together using brown yarn insert your hook into any sc of both pieces and sc together, now stuff your gingerbread man lightly as you sc it together, ending in a sl st to beginning SC,f/o Page 2 - Copyright @2015, Teresa Slade. Making the Border around the Gingerbread Man (using white yarn) with your yarn needle and white yarn st all around your gingerbread man through each sc around.f/o Embroider Eyes, Mouth and Two Buttons (using white yarn) Using white yarn and yarn needle embroider 2 eyes and a mouth on your gingerbread man head, embroider 2 buttons on the gingerbread man body. Make Hands and Feet on your Gingerbread Man (using white yarn) Using white yarn and yarn needle embroider hands and feet - 2 sts in from the end of Page 3 Copyright @2015, Teresa Slade. The arm furthest away from the body embroider a vertical line on both arms, and 2 st in from end of the leg furthest away from body embroider horizontal line on both legs.
Add the Ribbon for Hanging the Gingerbread Man on the Christmas Tree (using white ribbon)
To add ribbon using your crochet hook pull ribbon through the top of the head, secure with a knot making sure that the knot is not too bulky, pull knot through head so that it cannot be seen. Make sure to weave in your ends.
