Whit's Knits: Granny Chic Crocheted Hat - Fun and Fast with Unique Stitch Patterns

This hat's really fun to make, partly because it goes so fast, but also because it's an interesting stitch pattern with big groups of triple crochets coming together and veering apart. I learned this stitch from the Harmony Guide's book, 220 More Crochet Stitches. They cal1 it "I.69" which seems a little dry to me. What about The Flying Gull Stitch? Or The Hocus Crocus? Whatever you want to call it, have fun making it and think of Granny!
