Loopy Evergreen

Materials:
Worsted weight or dk weight yarn in shades of green Hook in size appropriate for yarn choice Stitches used: SI st = slip st Sc = single crochet Sc dec = single crochet decrease or single crochet 2 together Loop st = Link to photo and video tutorial: http://www.freshstitches.com/loop-stitch-crochet-tutorial/
Notes:
Gauge is not important for this project SI st does not count as a stitch. Do not work into the sl st. To make larger trees, simply add to your start chaining in multiples of 3. Decrease 3 stitches on each odd number row, and work until you have 3 stitches left at the top.
Small Tree (approx. 5" tall)
Foundation: Chain 21, slip st in the first chain to create a circle taking care not to twist the stitches. Round 1: Ch 1, sc in ea chain around. Join with a sl st to the first sc. Turn work. Round 2: Ch 1, (take care not to work into the sl st) work a loop st into ea sc. Join with a sl st to the first loop st.Turn work. Round 3: Ch 1, \*sc in the next 5 loop sts, sc dec in the next 2 loop sts\* repeat 2 more times. Join with a sl st to the first sc. Turn work. (18sts) Round 4: Repeat round 2 Round 5: Ch 1\*sc in the next 4 loop sts, sc dec in the next 2 loop sts\* repeat 2 more times. Join with a sl st to the first sc. Turn work. (15sts) Round 6: Repeat round 2 Round 7: Ch 1\*sc in the next 3 loop sts, sc dec in the next 2 loop sts\* repeat 2 more times. Join with a sl st to the first sc. Turn work. (12sts) Round 8: Repeat round 2 Round 9: Ch 1 \*sc in the next 2 loop sts, sc dec in the next 2 loop sts\* repeat 2 more times. Join with a sl st to the first sc. Turn work (9sts) Round 10: Repeat round 2 Round 11: Ch 1 \*sc in the next loop st, sc dec in the next 2 loop sts\* repeat 2 more times. Join with a sl st to the first sc. Turn work.(6sts) Round 12: Repeat round 2 Round 13: Ch 1 \*sc dec in the next 2 loop sts\* repeat 2 more times. Join with a sl st to the first sc. Turn work.
