Swirly Hat Knitting Pattern: Adapted Design with Customizable Stripes (CC Licensed)

Swirly Hat

by Joanne Jongsma This hat pattern is adapted from "We Call Them Pirates"' by Adrian Bizilia (available as a free download at http://www.helloyarn.com/ wecalthempirates.htm). It is just two rows shorter, and uses a different, non-pirate design chart. Each line of the chart needs to be repeated twice per round, read from bottom to top, right to left. Here it is. Notes: I used some combination of Knitpicks Telemark and Jamieson DK yarn with size 3 needles. I also improvised some stripes in there to use up some scrap yarn.
