Instructions
Cast on 104 stitches, and knit 4 rows in garter stitch. Start main body from RS as follows: 6 band sts in garter stitch, purl 1 sts, repeat the chart 9 times, purl 1 sts, and finish with 6 band sts in garter stitch. Make buttonholes to the right band in every 12th row (rows 3, 15, 27, 39, 51 and 63 of the main body). The buttonholes of the model cowl have been done by knitting K2 tog + 1 Y0. If you want the cowl to be symmetric like the model cowl is, end the pattern after row 20 on third repeat of the chart. Otherwise you can end the pattern whenever you like. Finish with 4 rows in garter stitch and bind off. Sew on buttons.
