Star Trek Insignia Charts

I designed these as a crochet pattern for a scarf, but feel free to use them in any way you see fit. If you want the crochet pattern, here's how I did it: Colors: The outside will be in the 'shirt' color - yellow, blue, or red. If you're feeling especially captain-y, use green instead of yellow, for Kirk's fierce wrap around shirt (because even captains have fat days). The border and inside design are in black, and the background within the insignia is either gold (for TOs) or silver (for XI/nu!Trek). Begin row 1 of chart A (command), leaving 3 stitches on either side as a border. Join black and gold/silver yarn. Work until end of chart. SC3rows. Switch to blue yarn. Repeat the previous pattern, using Chart B (science) Repeat part A, using Chart C (engineering/services) I made the scarf by working the first three charts right side up, then flipping them over and working backwards (mirror!verse), so that the all the insignias would point upwards when draped over the neck like this· I made two of these, then crocheted them together so that it was reversible But feel free to use these in any way you want - knit them, crochet them, make them into potholders.
