by Weasies Works

The featured beanie was knit in DK weight with size 8 needles, in Fibranatura Oak in size xl. but pattern is adaptable to different size yarns or Handspun (compensate by going up or down a size or two) ck your gauge! Special Thanks to "Jadee" and my other Ravelry friends for their help and advice M ultiples of 10 stitches - \*note - that will go through increases and decreases in the pattern (M's, ssk's andk2togs) Gauge - ( in DK weight) 24 stitches, 32 rows in 4 inch square (on circulars) Swatch Gauge - 32 stitches, 39 rows (on straights) \* NOTE - the difference in gauge from straight to circular Materials Needed (for DK / Worsted weights) \* 16" / 40.7cm circular size 8 / 5mm (or size needed for gauge) \* DPs size 8 / 5mm (or size needed for gauge) \* Cable needle, or just use one of the DPs \* Yarn needle (for weaving in ends) Yarn Requirements- 120 (130, 150, 170) yds, 110 (119, 138, 155) meters Sizes (for regular fit) sm (md, Ig, xlg) sm 14" / 35.6 cm (baby, toddler) md 16" - 18" / 40.7 - 45.8 cm (child) Ig 20"- 22" / 50.9 - 56 cm (adult) x Ig 24" up / 61.1 cm (don't laugh, this is my size) For stretched fit, go doren a size NOTE - jf you make a straight seatch, keep in mind the gauge zeilbe different from circular (ehich is usually a litle tghter). But don't reorry too much and erring on the smaller side is better. This stitch has a lot of stretch! Ribbing Chart - The ribbing is in a 10 stitch pattem repeat, beginning in the middle of a k2. This pattem works well with the main stitch pattem, howeverif you want to use a different ribbing, just make sure it works with the number of stitches needed in the main (Textured Acorn)pattern, and if not compensate by increasing or decreasing the appropriate nunber of stitches in a set up round, before knitting Round 8 of the Ribbing Chart
