You need:
yarn in the following colours: (scraps will do) red dark green light green yellow purple hook 3,5 mm or any other size that fits your yarn tapestry needle to sew all crocheted parts together
gauge doesn't matter techniques you need to know: single crochet (sc) half double crochet (hdc) slip stitch (slst) magic ring increase (inc) decrease (dec) French knot
Let's get started:
head:
make two red yarn Rd 1: 6 sc in magic ring Rd 2: inc 6 sC Rd 3: inc 6 sC Rd 4: inc 6 sC (6) (12) (18) (24) fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew both parts of the head together LATEF
body:
make 9 light green yarn dark green yarn
Rd 1: 6 sc in magic ring Rd 2: inc 6 sC (6) (12) fasten off, leaving a tail to sew the body parts together
antennae
make 2 purple Row l: chain 6 (6) Row 2: dhc in 2nd ch from hook slsts in next 4 ch (5) fasten off, leaving tail to sew on head
eyes:
make two yellow yarn dark green yarn Rd 1: with yellow yarn make 3 sc in magic ring (3) fasten off, stitch the ends together with the tapestry needle so it gets round with green yarn make a French knot in the middle of the eye
assembly:
sew the eyes to one of the red head pieces sew the antennae to the same head piece stitch a nose on with purple yarn sew both sides of the head together
arrange body parts the way you like and sew them to one another sew body parts to head with green yarn crochet a chain of 25 sts, fasten off, fold it in half and sew it to the last body part (you fasten the pacifier here)
sew the clip or peg to the back of the head (so you can secure the pacifier on the baby's clothes)
