Yellow Brick Cold Cowl

Note: I used a provisional cast on and once I was finished I put the live stitches on another circular needle and then did a 3-Needle bind off. I don't think this step is necessary however, so I'll leave it to personal preference. I've included links to instructions on both techniques below.

The Materials
· 2 skeins Berroco Vintage or any Worsted Weight Yarn (approx. 440 yards for cowl measuring 48"long) · Size US 11 circular needle, 16" or longer ·Cable Needle Optional for Provisional cast-on and 3-Needle bind-off Size K or L crochet hook for Provisional cast-on ?Second circular needle, Size 11\* for 3-Needle bind-off Size 11\* straight or double pointed needle for 3-Needle bind-off \*These can be another size as long as it's close to an 11, I might have used a size 10 or 10 % if that'swhat I had on hand
The Pattern
CO 40 stitches using your preferred cast-on method (See Note on Page 1) Increase 16 stitches evenly across: Row 1: K1; (M1, K3) x4; (M1, K2) x7; (M1, K3) x4; M1, K1 Row 2: Purl across

Row 3: \*Slip 2 stitches to cable needle and hold in back, K2, K2 from cable needle\*; Repeat from \* to endofrow Row4:Purlacross Row 5: K2; \*Slip 2 stitches to cable needle and hold in front, K2, K2 from cable needle\*; Repeat from \* to last 2 stitches; K2 Repeat rows 3-6 for about 24 inches, ending with Row 6.

Decrease 16 stitches evenly across: Row 1: K1; (K2Tog, K2) x4; (K2Tog, K1) x7; (K2Tog, K2) x4; K2Tog

Row 2: K across Row 3: K across Repeat rows 2-3 for about 24 inches
For Provisional cast on, put live stitches onto 2nd circular needle and then follow instructions for 3- Needlebind-off
Otherwise, BO all stitches Fold cowl in half so wrong sides are facing each other and sew together. Enjoy!
