MATERIALS
MC Yarn: Approximately 180 yards of chunky weight yarn For the Green Shawl I used: 2 skeins Malabrigo Mecha; 100% Superwash Merino Wool; 130 yards/ 100gr skein; Color: Hojas For the Purple Shawl I used: 2 balls Orchidea; 42% Acrylic, 16% Nylon; approx. 90 yds/50grball. Needles: One set US size 13 (9.00mm), 32" circular needles 4StitchMarkers
GAUGE
14 sts & 16 rows = 4 inches in st st. KNITTING THESHAWL CO 3 sts. Knit 2 rows. Step 1: K1, yo; rep to last st, k1. (5sts) Step 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 & 12: Knit. Repeat Steps 1 & 2 (9 sts) Step 3: K1, yo, k3, yo, pm, k1, pm, yo, k3, yo, k1. (13sts) \*You have now separated your center stitch by markers. Step 5: K1, pm, yo, k to m, yo, sm, k1, sm, yo, kto last st, yo, pm, k1. (17sts) Step 7: K1, sm, yo, kto m, yo, sm, k1, sm, yo, kto next m, yo, sm, k1. (21sts) Step 9: Repeat Rows 7 & 8 three times. (33sts)
Step 11: K1, sm, yo, k1, (yo, k2tog) rep to m, yo, sm, k1, sm, yo, k1, (yo, k2tog) rep to m, yo, sm, k1. (37sts) Repeat Steps 7-12 five times (lf you wish to make a larger piece, continue repeating steps 7-12 until you achieve your desired finished size) Repeat Steps 7 & 8. BO all sts in this way: \*K2tog, place st back onto your left needle; repeat from \* to end of therow.
FINISHING
Weave in all ends and block lightly to finished measurements.
