Crochet Pattern for a Mini Cactus with Adjustable Size and Customizable Decorations Using DK Yarn and 3.5mm Hook

About this pattern

I use UsA terminology for my pattern (don't worry if you use UK terms, allthe differences are explained in the pattern). This cactus is crocheted in continuous spirals without joining the rounds. You will need a stitch marker to keep track of where the beginning of each round starts. Move the marker up to the first stitch of the next round after finishing the previous one. Repeat instructions in (). Finished size will be approx. 10 cm with this type of yarn and this size of hook. Gauge is not important for this project. Using a heavier weight yarn and a bigger hook wilresult in a bigger cactus, a light weight yarn and a smaller hook will result in a smaller cactus.

Assembly:

Sew the middle branch to the base. Sew the top branch to the middle brunch. Sew the pear to the middle brunch. You can add any other decoration you wish. With a knife cut the Styrofoam until you have the needed size and form. You can also put some pebbles into the pot. If you have a plastic pot, pebbles will make it more stable. Insert the Styrofoam into the pot. Fix the cactus with some hot glue. Now you have finished your little cactus! Happy crocheting!
