yarn: Karabella Vintage Cotton crochet hook: size E (3.5mm) this novelty pattern works well with almost any yarn, make sure to choose a hook size about 2 sizes smaller than recommended on the label, to get a tight crochet

STARTBODYOFOCTOPUS - ch 12, work 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in next, 1 hdc in each of next 3, 1 dc in each of next 2, 1 hdc in each of next 2, 1 sc in last, ch 2, turn - work 1 hdc in each of next 2, 1 dc in each of next 4, 1 hdc in each of next 2, 1 sc in next, 1 hdc in end, ch 2, work 1 hdc in same Now we will continue so we are working around in a circle, the next step will be on the opposite side of the starting chain - work 2 dc in first ch, 1 dc in each of next 5, 1 hdc in each of next 3, 1 dc in end, 1 hdc in the end, 1 sc in next, 1 hdc in next. MAKE ONE MORE TENTACLE
Turn octopus over so that you are looking at the "wrong side", sl st over to the center of the tentacles where they attach to the body, you may have a hole between the body and the tentacles, sl st between this to tighten it up,then - ch 26, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each of next 2, 2 sc in next, 1 sc in each of next 12, 2 sc in next, 1 sc in each of next 9, sl st to body, cut yarn.
