Materials
Any DK weight yarn (I used barely one ball each of Patons Cotton Blend 8 ply in Linen and Pink) 3.00mm crochet hook Tapestry needle Stuffing Ball rattle (optional)
Cone
Round 1: sc 6 in magic circle Round 2: sc in every stitch (6) Round 3: \*2 sc, sc in next stitch, rep from \* (9) Round 4: sc in every stitch (9) Round 5: \*2 sc, sc in next 2 stitches, rep from \* (12) Round 6: sc in every stitch (12) Round 7: \*2 sc, sc in next 3 stitches, rep from \* (15) Round 8: sc in every stitch (15) Round 9: \*2 sc, sc in next 4 stitches, rep from \* (18) Round 10: sc in every stitch (18) Round 11: \*2 sc, sc in next 5 stitches, rep from \* (21) Round 12: sc in every stitch (21) Round 13: \*2 sc, sc in next 6 stitches, rep from \* (24) Round 14: sc in every stitch (24) Round 15: \*2 sc, sc in next 7 stitches, rep from \* (27) Round 16: sc in every stitch (27) Round 17: \*2 sc, sc in next 8 stitches, rep from \* (30) Round 18: sc in every stitch (30) Cut yarn, and firmly secure the end of the yarn on the inside of the cone.
Ice cream
Round 1: sc 6 in magic circle Round 2: \*2 sc in every stitch (12) Round 3: \*2 sc, sc in next stitch, rep from \* (18) Round 4: \*2 sc, sc in next 2 stitches, rep from \* (24) Round 5: \*2 sc, sc in next 3 stitches, rep from \* (30) Round 6: \*2 sc, sc in next 4 stitches, rep from \* (36) Round 7-10: sc in every stitch (36) Round 11: \*dec 1 over 2 stitches, sc in next 4 stitches, rep from \* (30) Round 12: sc in every stitch (30) Round 13: \*3 sc into the front loop, sl st in front loop in next stitch, rep from \*. sl st into the start of the next round to finish. Cut yarn, leaving a long length of yarn for sewing. Stuff the cone as firmly as you can. Line the ice cream with a bit of stuffing before placing bell rattle into it. Continue stuffing the ice cream rattle while sewing the two parts together (attaching the back loop of the ice cream part to the two loops on the cone part).
