Cheerleader Hook

This cheerleader has been especially designed for my Hooked For Life Team, but you're free to crochet one, too! It will measure about 6"/15cm. yarn: 100% acrylic DK yarn green, tan, brown, red and yellow hook: 3mm scissors small beads for eyes or cotton thread for embroidering them sewing needle stitch marker (optional) stuffing (if you're making the ami version) ch - chain sc - single crochet hdc - half double crochet inc - increase - 2sc in 1 stitch dec - decrease - 2sc worked together hdc inc - 2 hdc in 1 stitch hdc dec - 2 hdc worked together sk - skip FO - fasten off x5/x3 - repeat 5 times/3 times (n) - number of stitches in a round/row

Fasten off.


Skirt:
with green Join yarn to the front loop of any stitch from row 31, ch2 (ch2 does not count as the first Stitch). 1. (1dc, inc) x9, join, ch2 (27) 2. [2dc, (1dc, ch1, 1dc) in the next st] x9, join, ch1 (36 + 9chsp) 3. ch1, 3sc, (1sc, ch1, 1sc) in chsp, [4sc, (1sc, ch1, 1sc) in chsp] x7, 4sc, (1sc, ch1, 1sc) in chsp, 1sc, join (54 + 9chsp), join, FO.
Arm (make 2):
with tan

1. 6sc in the 2"d ch from the hook (6) 2. -3. 6sc (6) 4. dec, 4sc (5) 5. -9. 5sc (5) Fasten off, leaving a piece of thread for sewing. Sew the opening of the arm by pulling the thread through the front loops of the last row.

Pom-pom (make 2):
with yellow and red Rows 2-5 of pom-poms are made with a loop stitch. If you're new to this, you can find this link useful. ch2 1. 6sc in the 2nd ch from the hook (6) 2. inc x6 (12) 3. 12sc (12) 4. dec x6 (6) 5. dec x3 (3) Fasten off, sew the opening closed and use the thread to tie the pom-pom to the cheerleader's hand.
Assembling:
