Peekaboo Bracelet
This is meant to be a stash-killer. I wanted to make some quick Christmas gifts for some of the daughters of my good friends. They are creative girly-girls that love al things jewelry and fashion. This is unique and beautiful, and it won't take more than a day to make. This particular bracelet fits a $6^{\prime\prime}$ circumference wrist but this pattern can be extended by repeating the four-row lace pattern to fit a larger wrist. There's not a whole lot of give in this pattern, so be sure to knit enough length. The photo shown uses the little bit of Lorna's Laces Lion and Lamb that I had leftover. However, this would easily work for almost any worsted, dk or sport yarn. This would look very pretty in a solid-colored yarn too. Gauge: 14 rows of $12\mathsf{s t s}=2^{\prime\prime}$ in stockinette Materials: Any leftover worsted, dk, or sport weight yarn. Size 5 needles Lace pattern: Row 1: k2, k2tog 3x, k1, yo 3x, k1, yo 3x, k2tog 3 x, k2. Row 2: k2, purl to last two stitches, k2. Row 3: knit across. Row 4: k2, purl to last two stitches, k2.
Instructions:
Cast on 18 sts. Row 1: k2, knit across to last two stitches, k2. Row 2: k2, purl to last two stitches, k2. Continue for 6 more rows. Work lace pattern 3 times for a $6^{\prime\prime}$ bracelet. Next row: k2, knit across to last two stitches, k2. Next row: k2, purl to last two stitches, k2. Continue for 2 more rows. Then, work in Garter stitch for 3 ridges, bind off. Block area from beginning to end of stockinette (do not block garter ridges) to stretch and show pattern more clearly. Weave in ends and sew together using mattres stitch.
