Head and body:
Cast on 6 stitches and join to work in the round. Knit 1 round even. \*k1, m1, repeat from \* until end of round (12 sts. on needles) Knit 1 round even. k1, \*m1, k2, repeat from \* until 1 st. remains, yo, k1 (18 sts.) Knit 1 round even. Continue increasing every other round by increasing the number of knit stitches between m1s every increase round until 48 sts. are on your needles. Work even for 9 rounds. Decrease 2 sts. every other round until 40 remain. Knit 1 round. Decrease 4 sts. this round. (36) Knit 1 round. Decrease 4 sts. this round. (32) Knit 1 round. BO all sts.
Tentacles (make 8):
CO 8 sts. and join to work in the round. Knit until piece measures 9". Decrease 1 st. this round (7) Knit 3 rows Decrease 1 st. this round (6) Knit 3 rows Decrease 1 st. this round (5) Knit 3 rows Decrease 1 st. this round (4) Cut yarn and pull tail through remaining stitches.
Assembly:
Lightly stuff all tentacles. Sew half of each tentacle opening to body, matching stitches if possible. 4 tentacle stitches should be sewn to 4 body stitches. Attach eyes. Firmly stuff head about 3/4 full 'ick up 4 sts. from the open side of each tentacle and join to work in the round (3
