
Marley Scarf
A warm & wooly whimsical scarf. Materials: 1 skein of Malabrigo Rasta (90 yards) .5 Skein of Blue Sky Brushed Suri (70 yards) Size 17 and, 13 needles Optional; 18 Felted balls by Feltz & needle for threading balls Gauge: 2 sts = 1" on the 17 with Rasta.
Scarf
With a size 17 needle and Rasta, cast-on 14sts. (Multiple of 3 plus 2) \*Row 1: Knit 2, (Purl 1, Knit 2) repeat across the row. Row 2: Purl 2, (Knit 1, Purl 2) repeat across the row. Note: When carrying your yarn Dranthe Rasta, butndonot and Brushed Suri. be sure not to pull too tightly. Row 1: Knit 2, (Purl 1, Knit 2) repeat across the row. Row 2: Purl 2, (Knit 1, Purl 2) repeat across the row. Drop the Suri Merino, but do not cut. Pick-up size 17 needle and Rasta. Repeat from \*Row 1. Work for 5 feet or desired length, saving some yarn for fringing. Sew balls onto scarf (5 on one end 3 on the other). Add fringe. Thread remaining balls onto the fringe. Once in place, knot the yarn below the ball to secure. A special thanks to Susan Barstein for testing this pattern.
