Prayer Angels by Robyn Stambaugh
Materials: Small amount of worsted weight yarn Size F or G crochet hook Sewing needle Small amount of ribbon in coordinating color
Prayer Angel Pattern:
Ch 5, join with sl st to form ring; Ch 4, 15 tr in ring, join to top of ch-4. Row 1: Ch 3, dc in same st, 1 dc in each of next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st. Ch 1, turn. Row 2: 2 sc in first st, sc in each st to last, 2 sc in last st. Ch 3, turn. Row 3: Dc in first st, dc in each st across, 2 dc in last st. Ch 1, turn. Rows 4 and 6: Repeat Row 2. Rows 5 and 7: Repeat Row 3. Row 8: Sc in first st, $^{\star}{\tt c h}\,3$ , sc in next st\* across, sc in last st and fasten off.
Wings:
Attach yarn to Angel body under the head. Row 1: Ch 1, even space 4 sc over sides of Rows 2 and 3 of body. Ch 4, turn. Row 2: Tr in first st, tr in each of next 2 sts, 2 tr in last st. Ch 1, turn. Row 3: 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across, 2 sc in last st. Ch 3, turn. Weave in all ends. Tie coordinating ribbon to neck of angel and add a ribbon hanger to the top of angel's head.
