Bob's Beanie: A Comfortable Hat to Support a Heartfelt Charity Walk from London to Brighton

Bob'sBeanie

On 22nd June 2013, "Team Bob" (Alex, Amy & Laura) will be doing a non-stop 100km charity walk from London to Brighton to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. The walk is in memory of Alex's dad and Laura's grandfather - both called Bob - and they're looking to raise f2000 to help the BHF combat heart disease. By buying this pattern you've already supported them as all the profits go to Team Bob, and by knitting and wearing it (and walking in it!) you'll be helping to promote the link between walking and a healthy heart! The hat is designed to be roomy and comfortable and to come down over the wearer's ears - ideal for long walks... You can find out more about Team Bob at http://www.justgiving.com/teams/teambobor http://www.facebook.com/#!/TeamBob2013

Finishing:

Weave in ends, ensuring any gap at the cast-on point is neatly closed. Gently handwash, roll in a towel to remove excess moisture and block to size. The best way to block is to shape it over a mixing bowl or similar of the appropriate size. Make a pom pom (if desired) and secure firmly to the top. You can find pom pom instructions at: http://www.helloknitty.com/pdfs/pompom.pdf Wear your hat with pride!
