This pattern uses British English terminology
Materials
Oddments of white and yellow DK 4.00mm hook
Abbreviations
Magic circle - there is a good video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9c09o50f Hk dc - double crochet st - stitch ch - chain
Method
With yellow yarn, make a 'magic circle' and work 10dc into it. Slipstitch to 1st dc to join.

Change to white and make 10ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook and each ch to end. Slipstitch to next st on the previous round. Repeat in this manner to the end of the round, giving 10 petals in all.

End off, leaving a long length of yarn to finish the petals and (if required) for sewing on to your project.
Finishing the petals
Using the length of yarn left, and starting with the petal you are on, sew each petal to its base.

Do this for all the petals. Sew the daisy to the project it was made for with the remaining yarn, or simply make the yarn secure and cut off the excess.
