Materials:

6 stitches and 9 rows per inch in Spiral Pattern.
Note:
First off, this is my first written pattern, so I hope there aren't too many problems. Please let me know if something is unclear or if you come across any errata. Pattern is worked with circular needles with Magic Loop technique. You can easily work these mitts with two circulars or DPNs if you are more comfortable with those. The two mits mirror each other, with a cable spiraling around the hand.
Abbreviations:
C1B: transfer 1 stitch to cable needle, hold in back. Knit next stitch, then knit 1 stitch from cable needle. C1F: transfer 1 stitch to cable needle, hold in front. Knit next stitch, then knit 1 stitch from cable needle. M1: insert left needle into horizontal strand between two stitches, knit stitch through the back loop.
Pattern:
Right Mitt: Cast on 40 stitches using whichever cast-on you like (I used long-tail cast on). Join, taking care not to twist the stitches. Knit 8 rows in K4, p4 ribbing. Round 5: (Knit 14, C1B, knit 4) twice. Continue in this way, moving the C1B one stitch to the left each round. You should have knit approximately $3.5^{\prime\prime}$ at this point.
