Grains cowl by Sharon Spence

Grains is a rustic looking cowl that features a simple, reversible knit-and-purl stitch pattern. Work it up in a flash with large needles and superbulky yarn!

Gauge
2.5 stitches = 1" in Grains stitch pattern (below) Instructions are for 24" with changes for 30" in parentheses. Cast on 60 (80) stitches. Place marker and join to work in the round. Work Grains stitch pattern until work measures 6" (7") from cast on edge. End by working a purl round. Bind off as follows: K2tog, \*return stitch to left hand needle, K2tog\*. Block lightly.
