This scarf is a bit of a play on words. If you're any kind of a math nerd (ahem!), you will appreciate the cube pattern of the scarf reflected in the pattern name. If you're not a math nerd...well, just trust that it's funny. The scarf is worked in three basic sections. When looking at the right side (RS) of the fabric, the first section increases along the right edge only. The second section decreases along the left edge and continues increasing along the right. The third section continues decreasing along the left edgeonly. Once you understand how the increases/decreases work, it's an easily adaptable stitch pattern for a shawlette or stole or shawl!

Sample shown using (1) skein of Shaman by Heaven's Hand
Handspun 100% raw mulberry silk (color 305 Summer) - 320 yds/50 g - a 2-ply lace weight US E/4 (3.5mm) hook
PATTERN TIPS & TRICKS:
The turning chains are made at the end of a row before turning your work to create a smoother edge. (For this reason, you will notice on the included stitch diagram, that the first stitch of each row is the same color as the previous row to help you remember to do your turning chain before turning.) The included stitch diagram is a reduced sample showing each of the three sections of the scarf. Be sure that you complete the correct number of rows in each section before moving to the next section. The ch3 turning chains count as the first dc, but the ch1 turning chain does NOT count as the first sc. ABBREVIATIONS USED: sk 二skip sl st = slip stitch ch = chain stitch SC = single crochet dc = double crochet
