Mini Hot Dog Cat Toy
This cute little hot dog measures about 3 inches in length, and 1 1/2 inches long.
You will need...
Size D hook (3.25mm) Light Brown Yarn Soft White Yarn Burgundy Yarn Stuffing Cat nip (optional) Yarn needle Red or Yellow Yarn (optional for sauce)
Stitches and Abbreviations used..
Ch - chain Sl - slip stitch Sc - single crochet St - stitch Sts - stitches . Rpt - repeat Inc - increase, 2 sc in the same space Dec - decrease or sc2tog (single crochet 2 together)
Outside of the Bun (make 2)
With Light Brown Yarn Rnd 1\~ Ch 11, sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in the next 8 sts, 3 sc in the last st (12 sc) Now you will need to sc along the backside of the foundation ch. Sc in the next 8 sts, 3 sc in the last (23 sc around) Rnd 2\~ inc in the first st, sc in the next 8 sts, inc in next, sc, inc in next, sc in the next 8 sts, inc in next, sc in last 2 (27 sc around) Rnd 3\~ inc in the first st, sc in the next 9 sts, inc in next, sc in the next 2, inc in the next, sc in the next 10 sts, inc in next, sc in the last 2 (31 sc around) Rnd 4\~ sc around (31 sc around)
Inside of Bun (make 2)
With White Yarn Repeat Rnds 1-3 of the Outside of the Bun. Sl in next st. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Using the brown yarn tail, whip stitch a brown and white piece of the bun together. Repeat for the other side of the bun.
Before sewing closed, add stuffing (and catnip if desired).
Then, sew the two sides of the bun together about half way using brown yar
Hot Dog
With Burgandy Yarn Stuff lightly as you crochet along. Rnd 1\~ 6 sc into magic ring Rnd 2\~ sc in next 2, inc / repeat (8 sc) Rnd 3-11\~ sc around (8sc) Rnd 12\~ dec around (4sc) Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing. With your yarn needle sew hole closed. Sew hot dog into bun if desired.
Optional For Sauce - With Desired Color (Red for Ketchup, Yellow for Mustard, etc.) Leaving a long beginning tail, chain 12, sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each remaining chain. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. With your yarn needle, sew across the top of the hot dog.
