Angry Bird: Green Pig

By Teresa Alvarez (November 2012)
About copyright: It's really something great when people like what I have designed. You can sell the final item or whatever you like, but it would be nice to reference where you found the pattern! If there is anything you do not understand or there are any mistakes, please, send me a message! As you can see in the way I write, English is not my first language. So, you could come across some mistakes and grammatical inconsistencies@. Sorry and my apologies! My children love Angry Birds. They are not so fond of green pigs, but ... they reckon they need one to throw birds at! It is fun and fast to crochet. I have use cotton yarn.
ABOUT YARN:
Any yarnwould do nicely. I've used cotton. Yarns such as DMC Natura pure cotton (50gr=155gr.) or Anchor Style Creativa Fino (50gr=125m)are good choices. ardage is 50 gr. = 130 meters.
ABOUT GAUGE:
It is not important, as far as you are consistent with your tension.
ABOUT HOOK:
It depends on the yarn. I've used a 2.75 mm hook. Remember that when making amigurumis, stitches should be tight.
YOU WILL NEED:
Yarn for the green pig: 1 green skein, some scraps in light green, green and white. ·Two black eyes. Stuffing. Tapestry needle.
ABOUTCROCHETTERMS:
I've followed the US terminology. Stitch: st Chain: ch Slip stitch: sl st Single crochet: sc FLO: Front Loop Only BLO: Back Loop Only Sc2tog: decreasing two sc (i.e., 2 st become 1) Sc3tog: decreasing 3 sc (i.e. 3 stitches become 1) Sc4tog: decreasing 4 sc (i.e. 4 stitches become 1) NOTE: I've made all the decreases as invisible decreases.
