1 skein Sundara Yarn Aran Silky Merino. Color shown is "Fields of Provence". Garment uses less than 1 skein, so if desired, the neckwarmer could be knit a couple inches taller or wider without needing a second skein. Gauge
24 stitches and 26 rows per 4 inches. Gauge is not critical for this garment, although a different gauge knit to a bigger size garment may require a second skein ofyarn.
Sizing
One size fits most. Neckwarmer is 15" in circumference unstretched and 6.5" tall. This is an extremely stretchy garment.
Abbreviations
K = knit P = purl St = stitch RS = right side of garment WS = wrong side of garment P2tog = purl 2 stitches together YO = yarn over
The Pattern
Cast on 114 stitches. Row 1 (RS) and Row 2 (WS): slip 1 st purlwise, \*P2, K2, repeat from \* to last 3 stitches, K3. These two rows form the pattern.
Row 3 (buttonhole row): slip 1 st purlwise, P2tog, YO, continue in pattern to end. Rows 4-8: knit in pattern. Row 9: repeat row 3 (buttonhole row) Repeat rows 4-9 five more times. Knit in pattern for 2 more rows. Cast off all stitches in pattern. Cast off will be on wrong side row.
