C Material
-100 g of any yarn, yardage 420 m; preferably wound to 2 balls of similar length -needles 3.25 - 3.5 mm -crochet hook and scrap yarn for provisional cast on Dimensions Length 120 cm Width 24 cm - 40 cm lower edge The scarf is knitted from the centre to the outer edge in 2 identical mirror-image parts.
Rosina pattern
Multiple of 10 sts + 1. Work 4 stitches on right and left edge of Rosina pattern in rib pattern, e.g. 1 sst and k1, p1, k1. Work twisted stitches for a more defined rib pattern, e.g. kitbl and pitbl.
Scarf
Cast on 59 st using a provisional cast on. For a wider scarf cast on additional 10 st (or multiples thereof). The scarf shown in the pictures was worked with 59 stitches. For instructions on provisional cast on see for example: Knitting Essentials tutorial

sst, k1, p1, k1, work Rosina chart 5 times, p1, k1, p1, k1, sst. Knit scarf by working Rosina chart from A-D. Repeat chart B (pink repeat pattern) as desired (the scarf shown used 6 repeats). Charts C and D are only knitted once. Please note that in row 23 (first row of chart C) and in row 39 (first row of chart D) the stitch count increases by 2 stitches for each repeat pattern, since 2 yo are worked without decreases. Chart shows only RS rows. Stitches in WR rows are worked as they appear, with yo being worked as p1.

knit ·purl O yo sst selvage stitch sk (slip, slip, knit slipped stitches together) k2tog (knit 2 together) 入 sl1, k2tog, psso (slip 1, knit 2 together, pass the slipped st over) + kitbl (knit through back loop; purl through back loop on WS rows) increase row \* yo and make 2 stitches in following WS row, e.g. kif&b (knit in front and back) or pif&b (purl in fol front and back), depending on the stitch following yo to create rib pattern. Use kif&b when stitch that follows yo is a knit stitch, and use pif&b when stitch that follows yo is a purl stitch.
