Lemon-Lime Wavy Tawashi (Scrubber)

Supplies:
2 colors (your choice) of Worsted weight acrylic yarn (the rougher the better) Size I- crochet hook Yarn needle
Abbreviations:
Ch-chain Sc- single crochet Sl st- slip stitch St(s)- stitch(es)Blo- back loop only
Base Rectangle Pattern
With color A (yellow), ch 16 Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across (15 sc), ch 1, turn Row 2-25: working in blo (back loops only), sc in each st across (15 sc), ch 1, turn. At the end of Row 25, fasten off color A, weave in ends. At this point, you should have a rectangular piece that has 12 beveled Rows on each side. (See Figure 1)
Wavy Pattern
Row 1: Beginning with the 3rd beveled Row, attach green yarn with a sl st to the first unworked loop of this Row (see pic 2), ch 1, sc in same stitch, \*5 sc in next st, sc in next st, repeat from \* until end of Row (ending with a sc in last st), ch 1, sl st in end of Row 5 (See Figure 2), ch 1 Row 2: sc in 1" unworked loop of Row 7, \*5 sc in next st, sc in next st, repeat from \* to end of row, ch 1, sl st into end of Row 9, ch 1 Row 3-6: Repeat Row 2, working in rows 11, 15, 19, and 23 of rectangle piece. At the end of Row 6, sl st in same st as last sc, fasten off. Fold piece in half and whip stitch together.
