Ch5 Row 1 Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across, ch 1 and turn (4) Row 2 Dec, sc across, ch 1 and turn (3) Row 3 Dec, sc across, ch 1 and turn (2) I placed these on row6/7 using a very technical method. My fingers. After placing the eyes, I used a finger space to show where each wing/tail piece was to go. See photo for example. I simply placed a wing, then a finger space, then the tail, another finger space and finally the other wing. It meant that mine all lined up nice and evenly. Embroider eyes if not using safety ones. Thread length of gold for hanging. Beak. Either sew a small felt triangle or make a small loop of orange just between the eyes and oversew this until you're happy (see photo for guidance)
