Materials: ",Lord" by Lana Grossa ( $70\%$ Merino, $20\%$ Silk, $10\%$ Polyamid; $120\;\mathsf{m}/50\;\mathsf{g}$ ), 250 g dark green (06), 300 g sand (12) Size: L (42/44) Gauge: Stockinette stitch single-colored on US 6 - 21 sts $\times\,33\,\,{\mathsf{r o w s}}=\,10\times\,10\,\mathsf{c}$ Fair Isle pattern on US 6 23,5 sts x 28 rows $=$ 10 x 10 cm Selvedge stitches: Stockinette stitch $=\mathsf{K}$ on RS, P on WS Work selvedge sts in main color througout (body $\equiv$ sand, sleeves $\equiv$ green) Rib pattern: $\star\mathsf{K}2$ $\mathsf{P}2^{\star}$ repeated Fair Isle pattern: Work in stockinette stitch as given in chart, there's one pattern repeat shown. Raglan decreases: Work 2 sts away from edge: $3^{\mathsf{r d}}$ and $4^{\mathrm{th}}$ st together with SSK, last $4^{\mathrm{th}}$ and $3^{\mathsf{r d}}$ K2tog. Back: Cast on 130 sts in sand on US4 and work $z^{\ast}$ in rib pattern. Change to US6 and work 2 rows in stockinette stitch. Now work in Fair Isle pattern starting on stitch 17 of chart, working 6 pattern repeats and ending with stitch 4 of chart. Work rows 1 to 27 once. When piece measures 38cm cast off 6 sts at the beginning of next 2 rows. Next and every RS row: Work raglan decreases until there are 41 sts left. Work another WS row, then put all stitches on a spare needle. Same as back, but when there are 59 sts left work neck opening as follows: Next row (RS): Cast off 21 middle sts and finish both sides separately. Work 1 WS row. Next row (RS) and every alternating row: At neck edge cast off $1\times3,2\times2$ and $^{2\times\,1}$ sts (at the same time continue working raglan decreases). When there are only 3 sts left, decrease one st at neck edge of next two RS rows. P remaining stitch once, break yarn and pullit through the stitch.
Sleeves:
Cast on 50 sts in green on US 4 and work $z^{\ast}$ in rib pattern. Change to US6 and work 2 rows in stockinette stitch, increasing 4 sts evenly spaced in 2nd $\mathsf{r o w}=54$ sts. Now work in Fairsle pattern starting on stitch 15 of chart, working 2 patten repeats and ending with stitch6 of chart. Work rows 1 to 27 once, then continue in green. At the same time work increases as follows: Increase 1 st at each end of Row 7 of chart and 3 times in every following $6^{\mathrm{th}}\,\mathsf{r o w}=62$ sts. Integrate new sts in pattern. After Fair Isle pattern is inished, work 1 WS row in green. Next row (Rs): Decrease 7 sts evenly spaced $=55$ sts. Work 5 rows in stockinette stitch. Next and every following $4^{\mathrm{th}}$ row: Increase 1 st at each end of row to 71 sts. Work 5 rows in stockinette stitch. Next and every following $6^{\mathrm{{th}}}$ row: Increase 1 st at each end of row to 85 sts. When piece measures 44 cm cast off 6 sts at beginnining of next 2 rows. Next and every RS row: Work raglan decreases until there are 11 sts left Put all sitches on a spare needle.
To make up and collar:
Take all pieces in appropriate order on a US6 circular needle or on DPNs. Close side, raglan and sleeve seams. Collar is knitted in the round, using DPNs or magic loop on long circular needle. 1roundPickup 45 sts from front in sand with sameUS6 circular needle or oneneedle of DPNsKnit 64 sts from sleeves and back in green. Now there are 109 sts in the round. Knit al picked up sts from front in green. Place marker. 2nd round: Work in green: K2, SSK, K3, K2tog, K4, SSK, K34 (mark 17th st of those 34), K2tog, K4, SSK, K3, K2tog, K3, SSK, K39 (mark $20^{\mathrm{th}}$ st of those 39), K2tog, $\mathsf{K}1=101$ sts $\underline{{3}}^{\mathsf{r d}}$ round:Work next 13 rounds asgiven in chart rows 1-13.Work 5 paterns repeats.At the same time decrease 1 stitch in the middle of back (K2tog marked st and next) $=100$ sts. 4th row: Work decreases (always in green) above middle of each sleeve: Slip 2 sts knitwise, K next stitch, passed slipped stitch over. Repeat this decreases 4 times in every following alt round $=80$ sts. The two markers indicate the center of pattern on front and back: Marked stitch on back is stitch 1 of pattern repeat. Marked stitch on back is stitch 11 of pattern repeat. Reduce pattern at each side of decreases. After 13 rounds of pattern are finished continue in green. K 1 round. Change to smaller needles. K one round, P 1 round (folding line), K 16 rounds. At the same time work increases according to decreases on middle stitch above each sleeve: In $6^{\mathrm{{th}}}$ round after folding line and following 4 alt rounds work three sts out of one: K1B, YO, K1 into same stitch. 100 sts after all increaes. Cast off all sts very loosely or (better) work Elizabeth Zimmermann's sewn bind off. Fold collar inside at folding line and sew loosely. Darn in alloose ends.
