Lion Brand Superwash Merino Cashmere Yarn (#4 worsted weight) - 4 skeins (87 yards, color #123 Seafoam) Or any (#4 worsted weight) yarn that recommends I-9 5.5mm size crochet hook (or you may have to adjust your hook size & number of chains) Size L crochet hook 8.00mm Size J crochet hook 6.00mm (for edging) Size: About 66" inches in length before connected. Gauge not critical. Using size L crochet hook: Ch 150 out twisting the chain. Lay your chain flat to make sure it's not twiste Row 1: Ch 1, sc in first ch after sl st, dc in next chain, \*sc in next chain, dc in next chain; repeat from \* around, ending with a dc in last st - join with a slip stitch - again be careful not to twist the chain when joining - very important to check here. Place stitch marker in sl st to mark the round & move up each round. Row 2: ch 1, \*sc in next dc, dc in next sc; repeat from \* around. Join with a sl stitch. Row 3: ch 1, \*dc in next sc, sc in next dc; repeat from \* around. Join with a sl st. Row 4: ch 1, \*sc in next dc, dc in next sc; repeat from \* around. Join with a sl st. Rows 5-11: alternate rows 3 & 4 for rows 5-11 or as many rows until desired width. Do not fasten off.
Edging:
Switch to J hook. Row 1: Ch 2, \*skip 1st dc, dc in next sc stitch, dc in previous stitch (1st skipped stitch) to create a crossover dc look. Repeat from \* around to the end of the round. Sl st in first dc. Fasten off. Turn scarf so that opposite edge is facing (where you first began the scarf with your chains). Join at beginning edge & repeat edging Row 1 to the end of the round. Sl st in first dc. Fasten off.
