Cast on 120 stitches.
Tip: I prefer the Twisted German Cast On for its really stretchy structure. You want the edge of the cowl to be as stretchy and loose as the rest of it. There are great and easy to learn videos online, just google it. Join work and begin as follows: 1st round: \*k1, yo, p1, yo\* repeat this to the end of the round Tip: Take also the starting thread along for the knitting from the 2nd round on, i.e. knit with two threads until the starting thread has been woven into the work. This helps in the finishing; no need to hide the starting thread by needlework. 2nd round: \*k1, yod, p1, yod\* repeat to the end of the round Continue by alternating the rounds "1st" and "2nd" Leave at least 6 yards (6 meters) of yarn for the last round. Please note to make the last round really loosely! Last round: k2, pull the 1st knitted stitch over the later knitted stich \*k1, pull the earlier stich over the later one\* repeat until one stitch left: pull the yarn through. Luo 120 silmukkaa. vinkki: luo silmukat erittain loysasti. Itse kaytän “Twisted German Cast On" -tapaa, jolla saa todella rennon reunuksen. Googlettamalla loytyy hyvia videoita. Kudo yhtenaisen? ympyrän?: Kerros 1: \*o1, Ik, n1, Ik\* toista kerroksen loppuun vinkki: Ota toiselle kerrokselle mukaan aloituslanka, eli kudo kahdella langalla kunnes aloituslanka paattyy. Tama helpottaa tyota lopussa, kun aloituslankaa ei tarvitse neulalla pilottaa tyon sisaan. Kerros 2: \*o1, plk, n1, plk\* toista kerroksen loppuun Jatka toistamalla vuorotellen kerroksia 1 ja 2. Jätä lopussa ainakin 6 metria lankaa vimeistä kerrosta varten. Huomioithan, että viimeinen kerros tulee kutoa mahdollisimman loysästi. Viimeinenkerros: o2, nosta ensin kudottu silmukka toisena kudotun silmukan yli. \*o1,nosta ensin kudottu jalkimmaisen yli\* toista kunnes ena? yksi silmukka jaljellä. Ved? lanka silmukan lapi ja päattele langanpää tyohon neulalla.
