The body of the skirt is a lace pattern, so for a less risque look you may wish to wear some opaque tights or a slip underneath.
MEASUREMENTS
Pattern instructions are provided for sizes XS to XL. The skirt rests just above your hips and is intended to reach knee-length. For your reference, I designed the skirt for someone whose height is 5'4". The length is easily adjusted by subtracting or adding rows from the Body, as will be explained in the pattern instructions. Repeat from Step 2 until you have bound off all stitches.
Section C - Ruffle

The stitches in the ruffle run horizontally and are not knit in the round. Rather, this section will be seamed up at the back and sewn onto the body of the skirt. Row 13: P32. K1. Row 14: Sli. K32. Repeat these fourteen rows 34 (36, 38, 40, 42) more times. The inner circumference of the finished ruffle will have a total of 204 (216, 228, 252) rows and be approximately 30" (32",34", 37") in circumference. Wet or steam block the ruffle. Put all of the first row of cast-on stitches back onto your free needle and pull out the waste yarn. Note that the needle point should face in the same direction as the needle that's holding your last rowof stitches. Fold the length of fabric so that wrong sides are facing each other and the needle points face to the right. Graft the live stitches together using Kitchener stitch for reverse stockinette.
ASSEMBLY
Use safety pins to attach the rufle to the body of the skirt, evenly distributing the stitches around the circumference. Using a tapestry needle, seam the ruffle to the live stitches on the skirt body, pulling out the waste yarn as you go. Weave in all the ends. Wear and enjoy your new skirt!
