In honor of my soft and squishy tuxedo cat Mr. Chunk, this cowl will keep you warm and cozy all winter long. And since it uses bulky weight yarn, you can knit it up and wear it faster than it takes my cat to eat and take a nap :) Yarn: 1.5 skeins Knit Picks Full Circle in Quarry or approx 140 yds bulky weight yarn. \* pattern length/yardage can easily be adjusted to personal taste\* Needles: 16" Size US 11 Gauge: 10 st x 16 st = 4x4"in garter (knitting every row) Finished measurements: 12" Height x 13" Wide Zig Zag Openwork: \*repeat 4 rows for pattern\* Row 1: K1, \*K2tog (repeat from\* to end) Row 2: P1, \*YO, P1 (repeat from \* to end) Row 3: K2tog until 1 st remains, K1 Row 4: repeat row 2
Begin:
CO 75 st, Place Marker, join to work in the round, being careful not to twist. Purl one row. On next row start pattern. Knit in pattern for 11" or until your desired length, ending on either row 2 or 4. Purl one row, and then bind off loosely. Block cowl to measurements, put in on and strut it!
