Square Spiral hat

Materials:
Araucania nature wool worsted weight; 1 skein each of colors: 26 and53 Size 8 16" circulars or double points Crochet hook or darning needle Finished size: 19" circumference (un-stretched) and 8" long (unstretched). Will fit the average is head if the don't have dreadlocks or other types of bulky hair
Gauge:
16 stitches and 24 rows make 4"

Pattern:
Crown: CO 6 sts with both yarns held together. Join into round Knitting double knitting style, proceed: Rnd 1: K all Rnd 2: K1f&b all the way around Rnd 3: K2 pm around Rnd 4 and all even crown shaping rounds: K to one stitch before marker K1f&b, repeat around Rnd 5 and all odd crown shaping rounds: knit around Repeat 4 and 5 until you have 72 stitches Next round: Removing all markers as you come to them (K to one stitch before next marker k1f&b) twice knit to next marker, remove marker (K to one stitch before next marker k1f&b) twice, and knit to end Rnd after that: inc 4 evenly around, you should have 76 sts after this rnd Body: Rnd 1: knitting all, pm every 19 sts. Rnd 2-36: follow chart, it repeats between markers, so 4 times around total BO all sts with yarns held together.
Finishing:
