GANSEY WRISTERS
Designed by: Kalliopi Aronis Oh the dilemma!! How to knit in the freezing cold! Wear wristers! I wanted a wrister long enough to keep my arms warm and my fingers free to knit or read. Or eat chocolates. So this is what I came up with, a beautiful but simple gansey pattern that looks great in a solid color. I chose Anzula Squishy because it's, well, squishy! It's such a beautiful yarn and the color is so rich. I had the lucky opportunity to meet Sabrina and her friend Lacey at the Anzula Trunk Show at Annie & Co. in NY and they were wonderful at helping me pick out the perfect yarn.Thank you! And thanks to Verna and Pat for mentioning that I should put a flap over the wristers to turn them into mittens. I will work on that next! SIZ E 9.5"length and 8.5" circumference at widest part YHK IN Anzula Squishy (80% Merino, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon; 375 yds [343 m/115 g): Madam, 1 skein GA UG E 15 sts and 21 rnds = 2"in Stockinette Stitch TOOLS Size Uso dpns or preferred method to work in the round Size US1 dpns or preferred method to work in the round Markers (m) Scrap yarn Tapestry needle NOI t) Wristers are worked in the round from the bottom up. Two parts of the chart are different for second glove. Chart repeat may not always be a repeat of 12 sts but 2 or 4; the pattern will still work. I've color-coded the chart rounds that have something extra besides following the chart with the round number in the instructions to make it a bit easier to work between the two.
