JustAnotherAdirondack

This scarf wasn't my idea. It based on the pattern ,Adirondack" of Kory Stamper. She is the designer of that wonderful scarf you can find on ravelry. My pattern ist just a variation. Kory was so friendly to allow to publish my version of her scarf. Yarn: 3 ply with long gradient, ca. 250m/50g Needle: 5 mm / US 8
Step 1:
CO 30 stitches in Crochet Casting On as following: \*Cast on one stitch, Then cast on a second stitch but don't put the second stitch on the left needle. Just pull it through about 10 or 15 cm an then drill it around your finger to get a fringe. After that put it onto the left needled repeat from \*. Because I cannot explain it better, look here: )s://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgD6U8S ",Cat Bordhi's Knit-as-you-go Tendrils" is a video of Cat Bordhi, which shows it verywell. Step 2: Knit 3 rows. Step3: Sl 1, \*pfkb\* (28 times), k last st. Step4: Sl 2, k1, ssm, \*sl1, k1\* to end,k last st. Step5: Row A (Right Side): Sl 1, \*sl1, k1\* to 2 sts before sm, k2tog, rsm, turn. Row B (Wrong Side): Sl1, ssm, \*sl1, k1\* to 2 sts before end, k last st. Don't get any panic if there are very big stitches. That's part of Kory's design! Repeat these 2 rows. Step 5 ends, if there are only three sts on the left needle after setting stitch marker. That means last row should be knit like this: Row B (Wrong Side): Sl1, ssm, sl1, k1 , k last st.

Step 6:
Sl 2, k1, ssm, \*pfkb\* (26x), sl1, k1, k last st. After this row, the sts are very loosely and untidily. That's ok, the next one or two rows should fix it.! Repeat steps 5 and 6 to your desired length and end with step 5.!
Step 7:
k 1 r. This time just knit the big sts. k 3 rows.
Step 8:
While binding off drill fringes as in the video of Cat Bordhi (Step 1)

Have Fun!!
